Your public IP, right now.

The address the internet sees when you browse. One tap reveals it — shown only to you, stored nowhere.

What it does

The number websites see.

Every device on the internet has a public IP address — the return address on everything you send. Knowing it is the first step in VPN checks, remote-access setup, and “why is this blocked?” debugging.

✓

Instant, no signup

One tap and the address is on screen. No account, no email, no tracking — the lookup is a single echo request.

✓

Private by design

Your IP is displayed only in your browser. esimgomobile doesn’t log it, store it, or tie it to you.

✓

VPN litmus test

Connect your VPN and check again — if the address doesn’t change, your VPN isn’t routing traffic. Simple as that.

✓

It changes

Switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data (or your travel eSIM) and you’ll get a different address — that’s normal and expected.

Interactive demo

Reveal your public IP.

Tap once. Your browser asks a public echo service for the address it sees — that’s your public IP.

Uses the public ipify echo service (api.ipify.org) for the address and the keyless ipapi.co lookup for ISP/location details. If a service is unreachable, the button will say so — we don’t invent data.

Under the hood

Real parameters, real behavior.

In the esimgomobile ChatGPT app and API, this tool is called with exactly these parameters — nothing hidden, nothing invented.

This tool takes no parameters — it works with one tap.

How it works

  1. Your browser sends a single request to a public IP echo service.
  2. The service replies with the address it saw the request come from.
  3. That address is displayed on screen — and nowhere else.
  4. In the esimgomobile ChatGPT app the same tool reads the address from the server edge instead, with identical privacy: shown to you, stored nowhere.
Honest capability note

What this tool can and can’t do.

This tool shows your IP plus your ISP, approximate location and network (ASN) — resolved live by public lookup services and shown only to you. It can’t name who owns the connection beyond the ISP, or tell you whether it’s “safe.” IP geolocation is approximate at best (often just the right city, sometimes not even that). And remember: this is the address of your current network, not your device — everyone on the same Wi-Fi shares it.

Questions, answered

Before you ask.

What is a public IP address?
It’s the address the internet uses to send data back to your network — like the return address on a letter. Websites, apps and services see this address, not your device’s internal one.
Why does my IP change?
Most home and mobile connections get a new address periodically (dynamic IP). Switching networks — Wi-Fi to mobile data, or home to a travel eSIM — always changes it.
Is my public IP private information?
Treat it as semi-public: every site you visit sees it. It roughly reveals your city and ISP, but not your name or street address. There’s no harm in looking it up — but don’t post it publicly without reason.
How do I check if my VPN is working?
Note your IP with the VPN off, connect the VPN, and check again. A working VPN shows a different address — usually in the VPN server’s location. If it’s identical, traffic isn’t going through the VPN.
Does esimgomobile store my IP?
No. The lookup runs in your browser against a public echo service, and the result is only displayed to you. Our ChatGPT-app version has the same rule: shown, not stored.
Can I get a fixed IP with esimgomobile?
That’s a feature of specific number and business products, not of this lookup tool. Join the pre-launch signup for launch announcements on static-IP options.

How What’s My IP? works

  1. Open the tool
    • No account needed — What’s My IP? runs right in your browser.
    • Everything happens on the page; nothing to install.
  2. Enter your details
    • Answer the few questions the tool asks — trip, destination, dates.
    • The tool validates as you type so mistakes get caught early.
  3. Get your answer
    • Results appear instantly, computed from your inputs.
    • Every result links onward to the next step — usually a plan or checkout.

The pattern is always the same: tell the tool a little about your trip, and it does the research you'd otherwise do across ten tabs.

Tools are free and instant. They're the fastest way to turn a vague travel question into a concrete next step.

Explainer

When to use What’s My IP?

  • After the trip: to review what you used and plan smarter next time.
  • Mid-trip: when you need to top up, switch plans, or check what's next.
  • At the airport: for last-minute answers when plans change.
  • While planning: before you book anything, so connectivity is priced into the trip.

Bookmark it — travel questions have a habit of returning at the worst moment.

Most travelers use What’s My IP? once while planning and once on the road. Both visits take under a minute.

Tips for best results

  • Download offline maps for your destination — they save data and work in dead zones.
  • WhatsApp, iMessage and FaceTime keep your existing number on a data eSIM — no need to tell anyone a new number.
  • Set a data alert at 80% so a top-up never surprises you mid-trip.
  • Check that your phone is carrier-unlocked before you buy any eSIM — locked phones can't add one.
  • If a page won't load, toggle airplane mode for ten seconds — it forces a fresh network attach.
  • Keep your home SIM active for two-factor codes from your bank; run data on the eSIM line.

The tool is only as good as its inputs — a rough date range beats a perfect one you never enter.

If a result surprises you, rerun with different inputs. Exploring the options is the point.

Explainer

What happens next

Every tool result points somewhere useful: usually a plan that fits, sometimes a guide that goes deeper.

And if you'd rather talk it through, the Tele Agent answers the same questions conversationally, any time.

From here the path is short — pick a plan, check out through Amazon Pay, scan the QR code, and you're done.
