    My eSIM shows ‘No Service’ — what’s the first thing to try?
    Check the eSIM line is turned ON in Settings, then toggle Airplane Mode for 30 seconds. That re-registers the profile on the network and fixes the majority of ‘no service’ cases.
    Signal looks fine but nothing loads — why?
    Classic APN or routing issue: confirm the travel eSIM is the selected data line, data roaming is ON for it, APN is on automatic, then reboot. Run the symptom picker above for the full sequence.
    Data works but it’s painfully slow — is something broken?
    Probably not: run a speed test to confirm, try the airplane-mode toggle to force a tower handover, and remember evenings are congested everywhere. Manually selecting a different carrier (then back to automatic) sometimes finds a faster one.
    The QR code won’t scan — now what?
    Clean the lens, add light, hold it 6–10 inches away. If it still fails, use manual entry (SM-DP+ + activation code) — same profile, no camera needed. Confirm the QR hasn’t expired or been used already.
    Activation keeps failing — what am I missing?
    Three usual causes: no internet during activation (use Wi-Fi), a carrier-locked phone (check Settings → General → About → Carrier Lock on iPhone), or a half-installed profile to delete and re-add.
    Calls don’t work on my travel eSIM — is it broken?
    Almost certainly not broken: most travel eSIMs are data-only by design. Calls go over WhatsApp, FaceTime, or Zoom on the data connection. If your plan includes a number with voice, confirm voice is provisioned on the line.
