This page used to say the dataset didn't exist yet — it does now. OpenStreetMap contributors have mapped free-Wi-Fi venues worldwide, so the finder above is live. We still won't invent hotspot lists: every venue is community-mapped, coverage varies by city, and a blank result means unmapped — not necessarily Wi-Fi-free.
